Round Multi Scallop Digital Rim Template Set
These are downloadable digital files in 7 sizes that are designed to fit GR Pottery Forms’ Round Forms with approximately a 3/4” overhang. They can also work with drape or slump molds, or other types of molds such as plaster or wood. You can use the files with either a Cricut, Silhouette, or other cutting machines to make templates out of a variety of materials such as foam, vinyl, cardstock or mylar. You can also use them with a laser ie. Glowforge, CNC machine or even a 3-D printer. For those who don’t have a cutter or access to one, PDF files are included to print out the templates with a regular printer on 8.5” x 11” paper.
One set of the templates has the center cut out to make it easier to center GR Pottery Forms when forming with upholstery foam. The template also becomes a frame which can be laid on top of underglaze transfers to position them, or to trace the outline of the shape and/or the center area. Either piece, (the inside cutout or the frame), can also work as a mask when brushing on different colored slips. The other set does not have the center cut out and is solid.
You will receive these sets in 3 file formats (below). If you prefer another file extension, please let us know. Both styles, the templates with the center cut out, and the solid version are included. For the larger templates that are bigger than the standard 12” width cutters, use the half templates that are included and cut 2 and tape together. There are 46 files in total. For sizes, see the photo included with this listing. Please note that the 14” size is not available for 8.5”x11” printers.
