Water Abrasion Process
A quick demo on water abrasion and using stencils. So the area under the stencil stays raised while sponging away the clay around it. It's the opposite effect of rolling a thicker type stencil onto clay to create depth.
These durable stencils are made out of a .005” polycarbonate film or a .015” premium quality plastic that is flexible, waterproof, non-absorbent, and sticks and releases easily from clay. The birds are available in 3 different styles or as a set of 3. They are sized by measuring the widest points (see photos for the measurements).
THICKNESSES:
.005” - Best for water abrasion and/or printing on clay.
.015" – Best for creating texture on clay.
Check out the Stencil process page for ideas on how to use these stencils.
Please email me if you need a different shape or size. Most stencils can be custom cut to meet your specifications.
