Underglaze Transfer - Birds in Trees
This elegant underglaze transfer features a repeating pattern of birds perched among flowering branches, leafy stems, and delicate botanical details. The bold black silhouettes and graceful linework give the design a vintage, slightly Asian-inspired feel while still remaining versatile enough for many different styles of pottery.
The continuous pattern works beautifully wrapped around mugs, bowls, vases, and cylinders, or used across plates, platters, trays, and tiles. Individual birds, branches, and floral sections can also be cut apart and used as smaller accents. A lovely choice for creating timeless nature-inspired ceramic pieces with lots of movement and detail.
High quality underglaze transfer printed on thin rice tissue paper.
Extra Large Size: 19”x13”.
This transfer design is also offered as a “Second”, which means there are just a few small flaws in the printed design.
Test samples are included with every order. Always test transfers first before committing to a large piece or body of work.
Temperature Range: Cone 06-10. Zinc-free Clear Glaze Recommended.
Level of Difficulty: Easy.
PLEASE NOTE: It is not recommended to rub, sponge or rinse bisqued pieces before glazing as some of the transfers can still smear at this stage.
Once glazed, the transfers are permanently fused to the clay and are considered food safe as long as the glaze used over them is rated food safe.
Check out the Underglaze Transfer process page for detailed instructions on how to use these transfers and/or download instructions here.
