Underglaze Transfer - Bugs in Script
The Bugs in Script underglaze transfer features an eclectic collection of intricately drawn butterflies, moths, beetles, dragonflies, and other insects. Vintage handwritten notes, numbers, labels, and scientific-style markings are scattered throughout, giving the pattern the look of an antique naturalist’s field journal. The varied sizes and detailed line work make it easy to use the design as an all-over pattern or cut apart individual insects to create your own composition. Available in black or blue.
NOTE: The bugs in this transfer are the same as the bugs in the transfer, Bugs in Script - just enlarged.
High quality underglaze transfer printed on thin rice tissue paper.
Extra Large Size: 19”x13”.
Test samples are included with every order. Always test transfers first before committing to a large piece or body of work.
Level of Difficulty: Easy.
PLEASE NOTE: It is not recommended to rub, sponge or rinse bisqued pieces before glazing as some of the transfers can still smear at this stage.
Once glazed, the transfers are permanently fused to the clay and are considered food safe as long as the glaze used over them is rated food safe.
Check out the Underglaze Transfer process page for detailed instructions on how to use these transfers and/or download instructions here.
