Underglaze Transfer - Butterflies and Moths
This graceful Butterflies and Moths underglaze transfer features a varied collection of winged insects, each illustrated with its own distinctive markings, shapes, and delicate details. The mix of butterflies and moths gives the design plenty of visual variety while maintaining a cohesive natural-history feel.
The individual motifs are spaced apart, making them easy to cut out and arrange however you like. Use a single butterfly as a focal point, group several together, or scatter them across mugs, bowls, plates, vases, and other ceramic forms.
High quality underglaze transfer printed on thin rice tissue paper.
Extra Large Size: 19”x13”.
Test samples are included with every order. Always test transfers first before committing to a large piece or body of work.
Temperature Range: Cone 06-10. Zinc-free Clear Glaze Recommended.
Level of Difficulty: Easy.
PLEASE NOTE: It is not recommended to rub, sponge or rinse bisqued pieces before glazing as some of the transfers can still smear at this stage.
Once glazed, the transfers are permanently fused to the clay and are considered food safe as long as the glaze used over them is rated food safe.
Check out the Underglaze Transfer process page for detailed instructions on how to use these transfers and/or download instructions here.
