Underglaze Transfer - Grasses
This underglaze transfer features a delicate collection of grasses, wheat-like seed heads, and small butterflies in clean black linework. The design includes long border-style rows of tall grasses, along with separate meadow clumps that can be cut apart and arranged individually.
The artwork has a simple, airy, hand-drawn feel, with lots of open space and graceful movement in the stems and blades. The butterflies add a sweet garden touch without making the design feel too busy.
This transfer would be beautiful on mugs, bowls, vases, planters, tiles, trays, and nature-inspired pieces. The long grassy borders would work especially well around rims, bases, platters, and cylindrical forms, while the smaller grass clusters could be used as accents or layered into meadow scenes.
High quality underglaze transfer printed on thin rice tissue paper.
Extra Large Size: 19”x13”.
Test samples are included with every order. Always test transfers first before committing to a large piece or body of work.
Temperature Range: Cone 06-10. Zinc-free Clear Glaze Recommended.
Level of Difficulty: Easy.
PLEASE NOTE: It is not recommended to rub, sponge or rinse bisqued pieces before glazing as some of the transfers can still smear at this stage.
Once glazed, the transfers are permanently fused to the clay and are considered food safe as long as the glaze used over them is rated food safe.
Check out the Underglaze Transfer process page for detailed instructions on how to use these transfers and/or download instructions here.
