Underglaze Transfer - Humpback Whales
This Humpback Whales underglaze transfer features a dramatic collection of black-and-white whale illustrations in a detailed, hand-drawn style. The sheet includes humpback whales breaching, diving, swimming, and splashing through waves, with small starfish accents scattered throughout.
The bold linework, flowing movement, and ocean-inspired details give the design a classic nautical feel while still looking lively and modern. Each whale image can be cut apart and arranged separately, making this transfer perfect for mugs, bowls, platters, vases, tiles, and coastal or sea-life themed ceramic pieces.
Underglaze transfer on thin rice tissue paper.
This transfer design is also offered as a “Second”, which means there are just a few small flaws in the printed design.
Extra Large Size: 19”x13”.
Test samples are included with every order. Always test transfers first before committing to a large piece or body of work.
Temperature Range: Cone 06-10. Zinc-free Clear Glaze Recommended.
Level of Difficulty: Easy.
PLEASE NOTE: It is not recommended to rub, sponge or rinse bisqued pieces before glazing as some of the transfers can still smear at this stage.
Once glazed, the transfers are permanently fused to the clay and are considered food safe as long as the glaze used over them is rated food safe.
Check out the Underglaze Transfer process page for detailed instructions on how to use these transfers and/or download instructions here.
