Underglaze Transfer - Scrolling Script
This elegant underglaze transfer features flowing handwritten script in a repeating all-over pattern. The delicate black linework has the look of old letters, journal pages, or antique correspondence, giving the design a soft vintage feel without needing the words to be readable.
The loose, layered writing creates beautiful movement and texture, making it a versatile background pattern for ceramic pieces. Use the full sheet for a subtle wallpaper-like effect, or cut smaller sections to add interest to mugs, bowls, plates, vases, tiles, and slab-built forms. It pairs especially well with floral designs, botanical motifs, birds, vintage-inspired imagery, or simple forms where you want a quiet but detailed surface pattern.
Underglaze transfer printed on thin rice tissue paper.
Extra Large Size: 19”x13”.
Test samples are included with every order. Always test transfers first before committing to a large piece or body of work.
Temperature Range: Cone 06-10. Zinc-free Clear Glaze Recommended.
Level of Difficulty: Easy.
PLEASE NOTE: It is not recommended to rub, sponge or rinse bisqued pieces before glazing as some of the transfers can still smear at this stage.
Once glazed, the transfers are permanently fused to the clay and are considered food safe as long as the glaze used over them is rated food safe.
Check out the Underglaze Transfer process page for detailed instructions on how to use these transfers and/or download instructions here.
