Underglaze Transfer - Sunflower Fields
Sunflower Fields is a lively, hand-drawn floral pattern filled with overlapping sunflowers, textured centers, curling petals, and leafy stems. The detailed linework gives the design a slightly vintage, botanical-illustration feel while still feeling fresh and graphic on clay.
Because the flowers vary in size and direction, the pattern has a wonderful sense of movement and works beautifully as an all-over surface on mugs, bowls, plates, vases, and larger slab-built pieces. Leave it as crisp linework for a classic black-and-white look, or add touches of underglaze color to the petals, leaves, and centers to make the sunflowers really come alive.
High quality underglaze transfer printed on thin rice tissue paper.
Extra Large Size: 19”x13”.
Test samples are included with every order. Always test transfers first before committing to a large piece or body of work.
Temperature Range: Cone 06-10. Zinc-free Clear Glaze Recommended.
Level of Difficulty: Easy.
PLEASE NOTE: It is not recommended to rub, sponge or rinse bisqued pieces before glazing as some of the transfers can still smear at this stage.
Once glazed, the transfers are permanently fused to the clay and are considered food safe as long as the glaze used over them is rated food safe.
Check out the Underglaze Transfer process page for detailed instructions on how to use these transfers and/or download instructions here.
